Pipeline Submerged Weight

This module calculates weight of a pipeline joint with specified layers of coating. This calculation can be used for both onshore and offshore pipelines. The reduced weight due to the Archimedes (buoyancy) force is considered and both dry and submerged weight values are calculated. Also if the density of the fluid in pipeline is known, both empty and full line weights will be available. It is assumed that is some cutback for corrosion and concrete coatings where field joint is used.

Mode:

Steel pipe outside diameter:
i.e: 32in or 100mm

Pipe wall thickness:
i.e: 20 mm

Corrosion allowance:
i.e: 3 mm

Corrosion coating thickness:
i.e: 6 mm

Concrete coating thickness:
i.e: 40 mm

Marine growth thickness:
i.e: 20 mm

Steel density:
You can select predifined values: Plain carbon steel

Product density:
You can select predifined values: Gaseous well fluid

Corrosion coating density:
You can select predifined values: 3LPE | Hot Bitumen Enamel

Concrete coating denisty:
You can select predifined values: Typical Value

Seawater density:
You can select predifined values: Approximate seawater density

Marine growth density:
You can select predifined values: Typical Value

Field joint density:
You can select predifined values: Typical Value

Joint length:
i.e: 12 m

Corrosion coating cutback length
i.e: 0.5 m

Concrete coating cutback length
i.e: 0.5 m
