Maximum Allowable Working Pressure

This module gives the maximum internal pressure at which the weakest element of a vessel is loaded to the ultimate permissible point, when the vessel:

  • is not corroded (new)
  • the temperature does not affect its strength (room temperature) (cold) and the other conditions (wind load, external pressure, hydrostatic pressure, etc.) need not be taken into consideration.


i.e: 20 ksi or 150 MPa


i.e: 32 in or 219 mm


i.e: 0.5 in or 20 mm
